Welcome, I’m so glad you took a look at my site.
This site is not finished—far from it. I don’t know if it’ll ever be finished, but at least its a start. I’m calling this a beta version for now, and I plan on adding to it on a regular basis when I have free time. At some point I’m sure I’ll feel things are mostly done, and I’ll drop the beta label then.
What you may not know is that I’ve been trying to re-design and launch a new personal site for many years. Every time I’ve sat down to work on it, the list of things to include gets longer and longer, and I eventually run out of time. When I pick it up again, I see several things I want to "re-think", and I go back to the drawing board. I’ve gone through this cycle several times, and I’m taking a different approach this time by putting it out there before its finished.
For work, I’m a digital designer, mostly focusing on UX and UI design. I’ll have some of that "professional" work on my site, but really this site is more to share some of the other projects and creative things I’ve been experimenting with. I’ve also been taking this opportunity to learn ways to simplify my front end development approach, and try some new techniques.
I’ve created a My Projects page to outline the work I’m going to add over time. You’ll see some personal, professional, and volunteer projects listed here. Most of these projects say "Coming Soon". I’ll be actively adding detail pages to these projects in the weeks and months to come.
I’ve started work on a Facts and Stats page. It’s not done yet. But when it is, it will have a bunch of (mostly boring) details about me including: my hobbies, favorite places, books, recipes, hipster credentials (e.g. coffee related stuff and vinyl record collection), and interests.
Because this is a work in progress, I’ve created a Changelog page. When I make substantial updates to the site, I’ll make a note in there.
